Pool Furniture
Only a couple of decades ago, it was at rare
places that you could see advanced and stylish teak furniture. Variety of the styles in the teak furniture was also limited. Some considered
English garden forms to be the only style in teak furniture. But all this
is changed these days. With the modern companies producing and competitively marketing stirringly pleasing teak furniture, particularly the
outdoor ones, the buyers are flocking upon them. The number of homes with new outdoor teak furniture is increasing day by
day. Among the teak outdoor furniture, pool furniture
warrants a special mention.
These days installing teak pool furniture is
the in-thing and considered classy. Fortunately, it is also readily available in different varieties, styles and different cost
ranges.
As far as pool furniture is concerned, one
can make do with very limited and basic pieces. One can restrict oneself to two to four
lounge chairs, a table and maybe poolside canopy umbrellas. However, many pool owners prefer upscale and
fashionable pool furniture to add to their swimming experience. Some swimming-enthusiasts even decorate their pool side as if it were their
second living room and spend an astronomical amount for the same.
While acquiring pool furniture the first and
foremost factor to be borne in mind is that it should have rubber no-mark coating on the legs so as not to cause removal of the pool
paint.
Another important feature is the
weather-resistance of the pool furniture. As the pool furniture has to remain outdoors (at least for a considerable period of time, if not
permanently), the weather-resistance is an important aspect taking into account its durability. The specialists opine that good pool furniture
should be able to cope with the winter with just the help of a plastic cover and should still retain its charm.
Next in the line of tips with regard to pool
furniture is that whenever placing them by the side of the pool, keep them at least at a distance of four feet from the edge of the pool. This
goes not only for the pool furniture but everything else such as other ornamentation or tool…whatever. This prevents people from
tripping.
One should also pay due attention to setting
of the pool furniture. The manner one places furniture and other decorative items (in and around) the pool makes a great difference to the
overall beauty and look of the surrounding. Each pool furniture item and decorative pieces must be located with utmost care. One can make use
of sculptures, plantings, lighting and even smooth furnishing to increase the degree of attractiveness of the pool area. There is no limit to
it.
One of the conventional ways to decorate the
pool area is to place the pool furniture tactically and artistically around the pool – arranging adding a table with an umbrella pole in the
middle will be a good option. This is old but a popular way of arranging pool furniture. One can also use a border of colorful stones, potted
plants, statuary, fireplace, etc for enhancing the overall scenery of the pool-side.
